TOURNAMENT CREDITS
Tournament Credits are how we pay out tournament winnings (not skins). You “collect” on your winnings by using your Tournament Credits as described below:
The Current Balance column on the right reflects your total, made up of rollovers from the previous year such as winnings from the Christmas shotgun, refunds, winnings, and redemptions. The Refunds column reflects credits for board members and senior discounts if the event venue allows separate senior rates for events. Winnings is your tournament winnings, including closest to the pin and long drive payouts; it does not include skins. Redemption reflects credits you’ve used.
The primary way you use Tournament Credits is to pay your tournament entrance fee. Please be aware that the Tournament Credits list is updated after every event, not as you sign up for events using them. So there may be sitatuations where if you sign up for multiple events with credits that you may not have enough to cover all of them. If the balance is in question during sign ups you will not be promoted to the event roster until the point in time where it is certain your balance will be enough where you will be promoted to the roster, or will not be enough in this case you will be removed from the event. You may or may not get a notice so please be aware of your balance in relation to how you're signing up for events. To redeem credit for a tournament, you must have enough in your current balance to cover the entire cost by the time of the event - no partial payments!
Any remaining balance by the end of the season (after the club Championship) we will clear out the Tournament Credits and your balance must be used in one of three ways: to pay for your next year’s membership renewal (if you can pay the full amount); or to buy gift cards; or to donate to the Griffith Park Golf Club. We will try to contact those with remaining balances no fewer than three separate times to determine how the remaining balance shall be used. Should you fail to choose one of these, then you will be deemed to have chosen to donate, in which the Club sincerely thanks you for your gracious and generous donation.
